Junk Hauling in Trevor, Just Over the State Line
Trevor is an unincorporated community inside the Village of Salem Lakes. It has its own mailing address and its own feel, but the village line is drawn around a much bigger area. If you want the wider picture, see our page on junk removal across Salem Lakes.
For us, Trevor is close. We're based in Waukegan and the crew comes up from Lake County, Illinois. Once we're through Antioch, the state line is right there and Trevor is a short drive past it.
Housing is a mix. Older cottages near Rock Lake and Camp Lake. Modest ranch houses on the side roads. A few places with a couple of acres and a metal building out back. Each one makes a different kind of mess, and we're set up for all three.
Basement and Garage Cleanouts in Trevor
Basements near lakes get damp. Cardboard boxes go soft, the old carpet remnant starts to smell, and the stuff at the bottom of the pile is ruined before anyone looks at it again. Our basement junk removal gets it all up the stairs and out. There's no stairs fee, however many trips it takes.
The garage is usually a different story. It's dry, it's full, and it's mostly things that were too good to throw out. A second lawn mower. A workbench built by a previous owner. Half a set of patio chairs. When you're ready, a full garage cleanout takes a crew a lot less time than it would take you and a borrowed trailer.
A little prep makes the day go quicker:
- Pull out anything you're keeping, or mark it with tape
- Set aside paint, oil, gas cans and propane tanks, since we can't take those
- Clear a path to the door if you can. If you can't, we'll make one
- Snap a photo from the doorway so the quote matches the pile
Single-Item Pickup: Couches, Fridges, TVs and Mattresses
You don't need a truckload to call us. One couch is fine. One fridge is fine. Most haulers limit bulk items or charge for them, and they still expect the item at the road. We come inside and get it.
Old televisions are a common one. Wisconsin bans TVs, computers and electronics from landfills, so that big-screen in the basement needs a recycler. Our electronics recycling pickup takes TVs, monitors, computer towers, printers and stereo gear together.
Other single items we carry out: mattresses and box springs, washers and dryers, water heaters, treadmills, bikes and office chairs.
Yard Waste, Brush and Storm Cleanup on Trevor Lots
Mature trees are part of the appeal out here until a storm drops half of one on the lawn. Wisconsin keeps yard waste out of landfills, so limbs and leaves can't go in the trash cart. Our yard waste and brush hauling takes branches, brush piles, bagged leaves and the garden cleanup you stacked behind the shed.
While we're in the yard, we can take the rest. A swing set with rusted chains. A trampoline frame. A shed that's past saving. An above-ground pool that's coming down for good.
Flat-Price Junk Removal for Trevor Residents
The price is based on truck space. Quarter truck, half truck, three-quarter truck or full truck. One number covers the crew, the loading, the sweep-up and the disposal. We don't bill by the hour and we don't add fuel, stairs or weight fees.
Trevor is close to the line, but it's still Wisconsin, so we handle it like every other Wisconsin job. Your price is confirmed by text before the truck leaves. You say yes or no before anything is lifted. For the details, read how we price a load.
Getting a quote is free. Text a photo to (224) 944-8652. For a whole house or a packed outbuilding, we'll stop by for a free look that takes about 15 minutes.
Move-Out Junk Removal for Renters and Landlords
End of a lease, and there's a couch you're not taking and a mattress that isn't worth moving. Or you own the rental and the last tenant left a garage full of surprises. In both cases, our move-out cleanout service clears it so the place can be handed back or shown again.
We're not movers and we don't clean. We take what's unwanted, sweep where it sat and go. You don't have to be there if the door's open or a key is arranged.
Where Trevor Junk Ends Up and What We Leave Behind
We sort every load. Things that still have life in them go to donation. Metal is hauled to a scrap recycler. Electronics go to an electronics recycler. Whatever's left goes to a licensed transfer station.
We can't take wet paint, solvents, motor oil, gasoline, propane tanks, asbestos, ammunition or medical waste. For the paint and chemicals, look up your county's household hazardous waste collection.
