Volo Junk Removal by Text: Photo, Price, Pickup

Here's the whole process. You text a photo of the pile, the room or the single item to (224) 944-8652. We text back one flat price. You pick a time, and same-day or next-day is often open. The crew shows up, carries everything out from where it sits, sweeps the spot and drives it away.

That's it. No sales visit for normal jobs. For a big one, like a whole house or a packed three-car garage, we'll stop by for a free look that takes about 15 minutes. Hours are Monday through Saturday, 7am to 7pm. Sunday is by appointment.

What Volo Homes and Townhomes Fill Up With

Volo grew fast. A lot of the village is subdivisions and townhomes built on what used to be farm fields. The auto museum off Route 120 and Volo Bog up the road are the parts most outsiders know. Newer houses mean big basements, bonus rooms and garages with high ceilings. All of that is storage, and storage fills.

Townhome owners deal with the same stuff in less space, usually with a small garage doing the work of a storage unit. What we see most:

  • The first couch you bought together, now parked in the basement
  • Kids' furniture and toys a few sizes too small
  • A basketball hoop with a cracked base
  • Boxes from the move that never got unpacked
  • Patio sets and grills that didn't survive the winter

Move-Out and Garage Cleanouts in Volo

People move in and out of newer neighborhoods a lot, and closings come with deadlines. If the house has to be empty by Friday, a move-out cleanout gets the leftovers gone: the furniture the buyers didn't want, the basement shelving, the garage wall of half-used stuff. We don't move households. We take what isn't going with you.

Not moving? Then it's probably the garage. Our garage junk removal crew clears it bay by bay. Keep what you want in one corner, mark it, and we take the rest down to the concrete and sweep.

Construction Debris and Remodeling Cleanup for Volo Projects

Houses built around the same time all hit the same projects at the same time. Basement finishing. Deck replacement. Carpet pulled for hard flooring. A builder-grade vanity swapped out. Each one leaves a pile: drywall scraps, lumber cutoffs, old carpet and pad, a cracked toilet, cabinet boxes.

We do remodeling debris pickup for homeowners and for contractors who don't want a container sitting in a driveway for two weeks. We don't rent dumpsters. We show up, load what's there by hand and leave. If the job runs in phases, book a pickup at the end of each one.

Flat Volume Pricing for Volo Junk Hauling

You pay for the space your stuff takes in the truck. Quarter truck, half, three quarters, full. The number we text you already covers the labor, the loading, the sweep-up and the disposal. We don't bill by the hour and we don't tack on fuel, stairs or weight fees.

Volo is a good drive west of Waukegan, where we're based. Doesn't matter. Anywhere in Lake County is the same price for the same load. You see the number and say yes before we start. The truck-load price guide explains the tiers.

Mattresses, Treadmills and Old TVs

Three things nobody knows how to get rid of. First, the mattress. It won't fit in a car and it won't fold. Mattress and box spring pickup is a quick stop for us, one bed or a houseful.

Second, the treadmill. It weighs more than it looks and it lives in the basement. Our exercise equipment haulers bring it up the stairs, along with the elliptical and the weight bench if they're going too.

Third, the TV. It can't go in the trash at all, because Illinois bans electronics from landfills. We take old TVs and computers to an electronics recycler, not a dumpster.

Items We Can't Take From Volo Homes

Wet paint, solvents, motor oil, gasoline, propane tanks, asbestos, ammunition and medical waste stay off our truck. Newer houses tend to have a shelf of leftover paint in the basement. If the cans are still liquid, they belong at the household chemical waste collection that SWALCO, the Solid Waste Agency of Lake County, runs for residents.

Everything else on that shelf is fair game. And to be clear about services: no dumpster rental, no building demolition, no moving, no house cleaning. Hauling is the job.

Donation, Recycling and Disposal After a Volo Pickup

Loads get sorted after they leave your driveway. Usable furniture and household goods go to donation. Metal, like bed frames, shelving and appliances, goes to scrap recycling. Anything with a screen or a circuit board goes to an electronics recycler. Whatever's left ends up at a licensed transfer station.

Point out anything that still works and we'll set it aside for donation. We run the same roads through Lakemoor next door and the Round Lake area, so if a relative nearby has a pile of their own, send both photos and we'll quote each one.

Volo Junk Removal Questions

How fast can you get to Volo?

Same-day and next-day slots are often open. Text a photo and your address to (224) 944-8652 in the morning and ask what's available. We're on the road Monday through Saturday from 7am to 7pm. If Sunday is the only day that works for you, we can set that up by appointment.

Do you haul junk from townhomes and upstairs rooms in Volo?

Yes. Townhomes are regular stops. Stairs are normal for us and there's no stairs fee. Tell us which floor the items are on and where a truck can park, since some townhome rows have shared drives or guest parking only. We carry everything down and out, then sweep where it sat.

I'm closing on my house next week. Can you empty what's left?

Yes. Send photos of each room, the basement and the garage, and we'll give you one price for all of it. Book the slot a day or two before your walkthrough so there's breathing room. We take what you're leaving behind and sweep up. We don't pack or move the things you're keeping.

Can a contractor use you instead of a dumpster on a Volo remodel?

For a lot of small remodels, yes. We don't rent dumpsters. We come when the debris is ready, load drywall, lumber, flooring, cabinets and fixtures by hand, and leave the driveway clear. You're charged for the truck space the debris fills. We can't take asbestos, so have suspect material checked first.

What does it cost to haul away a basement full of stuff?

It depends on how much truck space it fills, not on how long it takes or how many stairs there are. A photo of the basement lets us tell you if it looks like a quarter, half, three-quarter or full truck. The price covers labor, loading, sweep-up and disposal, and you approve it before we begin.

Will you take a hot tub or trampoline from my backyard?

Yes, both. Hot tubs, spas, trampolines, playsets, above-ground pools and sheds are all things we haul. Send a photo that shows the item and the path from the backyard to the street, including any gate. For a hot tub, have it drained and unplugged before we arrive.

Is Volo too far from Waukegan for a single item?

No. Single items are fine and distance inside Lake County doesn't add to the price. One mattress, one freezer or one couch is priced on the small amount of truck space it takes. Text a photo and we'll send the number. If you want to add a few more things, do it in the same text.

What do I do with leftover paint cans?

We can't take wet paint. Lake County residents can bring it to the household chemical waste collection run by SWALCO. The same goes for solvents, motor oil and gasoline. Set those apart before pickup and we'll haul the empty shelving, the old tools and whatever else is around them.
